Aero Propulsion Support Group is comprised of three divisions:
- Aero Propulsion Support, Inc. which repairs and services small gas turbine engines and components.
- Aero Propulsion Support Distribution, LLC which inventories and distributes small gas turbine engines and components.
- Aero Propulsion Support Manufacturing, LLC. which prototypes OEM parts for the small gas turbine business.
Registration Process Now Complete
Aero Propulsion Support, Inc. is pleased to announce that we are now a registered AS9100 and ISO9001 facility. National Quality Assurance (NQA) performed the initial audit in February and recently performed a surveillance audit on May 15th. All minor non-conformances and observations noted during the initial audit were cleared during the surveillance audit and only one observation was noted during the surveillance audit. NQA serves various customers in the aerospace community including many Boeing facilities and NASA.
George Price takes his final flight
George Dwight Price, 85, passed away Friday September 08, 2017 in Winslow, Arizona en-route to the final adventure of his life with his wife June Price. George and June Price were married at St. Henry's Catholic Church, Averill Park, New York on August 21, 1955
His aviation career included a host of positions with US Air Force, Lycoming, NAC and most notable, served as Repair development manager at Garrett Airline Services which became Honeywell. His experience with repair of gas turbines ranged from Allison Model 250, 501-KF, JT-8, JT-3, Turbomeca, Lycoming T-53/55, Garrett 731 and 331 Engines. He wrote and co-wrote various technical papers involved with repair development of turbine components.
George Price, one of the Board of Directors of Aero Propulsion Support, Inc., was named April 2nd 2001 Aviation Week's Overhaul & Maintenance Magazine Lifetime Award recipient for Outstanding Achievement in Aviation Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul.
His career as an Aerospace Engineer allowed him and June to travel extensively throughout the world, as well as living in different areas of the United States. Though his true calling in life was fishing, which lead him to retire to Mountain Home, Arkansas.
George was my friend and mentor for the past 35 years …we sure will miss him.
